IVECO celebrated the roll-out of its 1.8 millionth Daily at its Suzzara plant in Mantua, Italy. The Suzzara plant is the production base for IVECO's iconic Daily, enjoying an excellent reputation in light commercial vehicle manufacturing, carrying a glorious history and a spirit of continuous innovation since its inception. The Daily, a pioneering commercial vehicle, has introduced many groundbreaking innovations and industry firsts while inheriting its DNA. With its exceptional versatility, it perfectly meets the specific requirements of customers and can adapt to any scenario or task. These unique advantages have ensured the Daily's lasting success in the market, leading the high payload segment with its 7-ton model and becoming a benchmark in the natural gas light commercial vehicle sector. Today, the Daily further consolidates its position as a leader in sustainable transportation solutions by fully electrifying its product line.

     Milestone

The 1.8 millionth vehicle off the production line is a new eDaily, the electric twin of the iconic Daily, assembled at the Suzzara plant and electrified at the Brescia plant.

Fulvio Carillo, IVECO Suzzara Plant Manager, said: "This milestone achievement testifies to the success of our Daily product, a light commercial vehicle produced at our Suzzara plant for over 45 years. This enduring success highlights the constantly improving market performance of light commercial vehicles, setting new standards for innovation. Its strengths lie in its versatility and efficiency, qualities repeatedly recognized throughout its history. We are very proud of this achievement, as the Daily has won the hearts of many customers with its exceptional versatility, durability, and unique performance."

Despite the Daily's solid market performance, IVECO continues to introduce innovations in onboard technology and cockpit features, and expands its service portfolio with advanced connectivity features, making the Daily the ideal partner for every customer and every task. Since 2007, the plant has been committed to a specific production system aimed at zero defects, zero waste, and zero accidents. It involves a continuous improvement process, focusing on the involvement of every operator in the production process.

     Milestone

The 1.8 millionth Daily has been delivered to Tesco, the UK's largest supermarket, as part of the chain's deployment of a 571-vehicle electric delivery fleet.

Tesco has been using IVECO Daily vehicles in its delivery fleet since 2010. These vehicles are ideally suited for city deliveries, with a class-leading turning radius and easy maneuverability. The company chose the IVECO eDaily as part of its green transport fleet, offering zero-emission deliveries through its innovative modular battery setup. Its motor efficiently delivers powerful performance with 140kW and 400Nm of torque. The 80kW fast-charging capability adds 62 miles of range in 30 minutes, while the 22kW onboard charger allows Tesco to maximize the use of AC chargers at local stores.
