State Grid Chongqing Nan Power Supply Company: Medium-voltage power generation vehicles provide power to the city grid
China Energy News Network (Gong Chao) July 31: On more than a dozen 10-kilovolt power poles of the Tianluo line, staff from the State Grid Chongqing Nan Power Supply Company are carrying out line renovation.
China Energy News Network (Gong Chao) reported on July 31 that on more than a dozen 10-kilovolt Tianluo Line poles, staff from the State Grid Chongqing Nan'an Power Supply Company were carrying out line renovations. Simultaneously, two 1000-kilowatt medium-voltage power generation vehicles provided electricity, transferring the load and ensuring zero power outage perception for over 4000 users in Changshengqiao Town, Nan'an District, Chongqing. This guaranteed normal electricity supply for businesses and residents, improving the public's sense of access to and satisfaction with electricity. This is the first time in Nan'an District that medium-voltage power generation vehicles have been used on such a large scale and for such a long time in an urban setting to ensure power supply.
“The weather in Chongqing has been cool recently, so we took this opportunity to fully upgrade this heavily loaded line, ensuring a more reliable power supply for nearby residents during the summer. Considering the dense population in the town, we also brought in power generation vehicles to transfer the load, so residents wouldn't experience any power outages,” said Yang Meng, the on-site supervisor.
After preliminary investigation, considering that the 10-kilovolt Tianluo Line work site is located in the center of Changshengqiao Town, with a high demand for continuous power supply for surrounding residents, and that the wire diameter is relatively small, resulting in an overload phenomenon under high-temperature conditions, the State Grid Chongqing Nan'an Power Supply Company decided to use medium-voltage power generation vehicles to transfer the load, upgrading the line without affecting customer power supply.
This renovation and upgrade mainly involved replacing the 10-kilovolt Tianluo Line conductors with larger ones, increasing the diameter from 120 to 185, and replacing a total of 2000 meters of insulated conductors. This significantly improved the power supply capacity of the entire line, ensuring safe and reliable operation during the high temperatures of August.
Next, the State Grid Chongqing Nan'an Power Supply Company will continue to adhere to the working principle of “maintain power supply if possible, generate power if necessary”, actively explore innovation, develop more mature application technologies for medium-voltage power generation vehicles, expand the application scope of medium-voltage power generation vehicles, achieve zero-perception power supply for the public, and further improve the quality of service.
