Trip Planning
If you want to travel, making a well-prepared travel plan is a must. As the saying goes, 'If you plan, you will succeed; if you don't plan, you will fail.' Although motorhome travel gives everyone a great deal of freedom, it is still very necessary to make a preliminary travel plan in advance.
Of course, the first step in planning is to choose your destination, such as whether to go south or north, whether to go to Hainan or Northeast China, whether to take a short trip of two or three days or a long trip of more than a week. These will affect what you need to prepare.
After deciding on your destination, you need to make a preliminary travel plan, including a general itinerary and route arrangement, including places to pass through, road conditions, etc., as well as introductions to the scenic spots along the way, local customs, and food. With a general understanding in advance, you can travel in an orderly manner once you arrive.
Travel Gear Preparation
Winter travel is cold, so preparing warm clothing is essential. Clothing should be light, comfortable, sporty, and warm, including down jackets, thermal underwear, sweaters, trousers, cotton boots, snow boots, scarves, hats, and gloves. If you are going south, outdoor windbreakers and athletic shoes are also essential. The further south you go, the warmer the weather becomes, and clothing should be adjusted accordingly. Although modern motorhomes are equipped with air conditioning and other heating equipment, after all, you are traveling outdoors, and you will be outdoors a lot of the time, so this cold-weather gear is essential.
Although it is winter travel, when the weather is good, people prefer to stay outdoors and enjoy the good times outdoors, so bringing some outdoor camping equipment will add more fun, such as awnings, moisture-proof mats, folding tables and chairs, and other essential outdoor camping supplies.
In addition, it is recommended to bring some commonly used medicines, such as cold medicine, stomach medicine, band-aids, thermometers, and alcohol swabs. Of course, don't forget to bring regular toiletries such as towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower gel, and shampoo. Although these things can be purchased along the way, preparing them in advance will save you the trouble of finding a place to stay in a hurry.
Vehicle Inspection
Electrical System Check: The focus of the electrical system check is the battery. In addition, check whether all the circuits on the vehicle are working properly and whether the electrical appliances can be used normally.
Water System Check: Water is a daily necessity during travel, so the water tank, water pipes, water pump, water heater, and shower head should all be checked. If there is a malfunction on the road, taking a shower or using the toilet will be a problem.
Gas System Check: This mainly involves checking the gas system. For safety reasons, gas cylinders are usually installed in a ventilated area or outside. The gas system is susceptible to corrosion and damage, so checking the safety of the gas system is very necessary.
Vehicle Condition Check: In addition to the above checks, an overall vehicle condition check is also necessary, including all vehicle fluids, engine, brakes, lights, etc.
Other Checks: Finally, before departure, don't forget to check your vehicle registration and insurance to ensure they are valid. If they have expired, please renew and purchase new insurance before departure.
